Emily’s Path recently made a $10,000 contribution that helped bring the Dolly Parton Imagination Library (DPIL) in Marathon County to an operational stage. Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library mails a high-quality, age-appropriate book each month to every registered child from birth until they begin school. The program is funded through a partnership between Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library and local community partners who underwrite the per-child cost of books and postage. Families will be able to register through the Imagination Library parent portal or via the local DPIL of Marathon County organizer channels when registration opens.

Because of this gift — and the collaborative work of local schools, nonprofits and volunteers — the newly formed DPIL of Marathon County is now able to begin registering children ages 0–5 to receive free, age-appropriate books delivered to their homes each month.

Books open doors for children, and we are honored that Emily’s Path could contribute $10,000 to help launch this program in Marathon County. Getting the Imagination Library to the point where families can register and children will soon receive books in the mail is exactly the kind of lasting, joyful impact Emily’s Path was created to support.
